Services to Members
• Newsletter - Member clubs are kept informed about
news, shows, events, policies, issues, etc through the quarterly newsletter.
• Register - A complete list of member clubs with contact
details and meeting times and places.
• Club Management - Information on aspects of running a
club - meeting procedures, duties of office bearers, etc.
• Insurance - Insurance cover through a group insurance
• Social Occasions - Social functions and competitions to
encourage friendship betrween clubs.
• Guest Speakers - Suggestions for guest speakers.
• Bus Trips - Suggestions for destinations, nurseries and
other places of interest for organising bus trips.
• Special Occasions - Opportunities for members to
participate in festivals, community events and horticultural shows eg Ipswich Plant Fair, Qld Garden Expo - Nambour, Brisbane International Garden Show Strathpine.
• Other Bodies - QCGC has a close association with Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
and other horticultural groups.

On Wednesday the 25th March 2020 all Clubs are invited to join our President Phil Adam (pictured left with wife Dulcie) and the Committee for our first event of the year.
The President will provide information to assist Members in managing their Club.
We will share ideas and promote the interchange of knowledge and interests.
Objects of QCGC

The Queensland Council of Garden Clubs Inc. was
established in April 1967 as an organisation of
garden clubs to encourage friendship and
co-operation between them.
There are now over 130 member garden clubs, plant
societies and other special interest groups - from
Cairns to Tweed Heads.

Saturday 4th April 2020 10am to 3:30pm
and Sunday 5th April 2020 9am to 3pm.
The theme this year is Joseph Banks 250 years. There will be a Competition bench, Society Displays, Club Stalls, Craft and Plant Sales and Commercial Display Sales as well as a Raffle and delicious Refreshments. Entry is only $3 and children are free.
