QCGC Visit to Newstead House
St. Fiacre Day
St Fiacre’s Day was celebrated at Newstead House under the direction of the late David Gibson and Friends of Newstead House. Members of garden clubs used flowers from their own gardens along with commercially grown ones to decorate the House with floral arrangements as would have been done by the original owners using vases and containers from the Newstead House collection. This set the scene for a weekend of celebration hosted by the Friends of Newstead.
